Chapter 1: Drawing Instruments
1. Drawing Board:
Made from strips of well-seasoned soft wood, generally 25 mm thick. One of the shorter edges of the rectangular board is provided with a perfectly straight ebony edge, known as the working edge, on which the T-square is moved while making drawings.

Note: Battens are provided at the bottom to avoid warping of the board.
Materials Used:
Good quality wood such as pine, fir, oak, or linoleum.
